Monster Master

Yesterday the production of my first short animated film Monster Master was completed here in Bold Studio Zagreb. I am very thankful to the people from Bold Studio, esp. the producer Maša Udovičić, for financing this monstrous project and for being so patient.

The film is done in good old fashioned hand-drawn-on-paper 2D technique and compositing was done on the computer.
It tells a story of the Monster Master who lives in an old rock & roll vinyl LP. When the record is played Monster Master comes out through the speakers and takes the listeners into his trippy parallel universe full of zombies, sexy dancers, hot rod cars and  horny aliens...

The music is very important part of the film. It is done by Goran Lautar and his band The Dykemann Family. Their rockin´ garage music style fits perfectly with this film.

I am also very satisfied with the sound design that was done by Dalibor Grubačević and big thanks to Borko Grujić, Ana Horvat, Ivan Vidak, Marin Juranić and others who helped me with this project.

SHAX - my demented twin brother

This is SHAX, my demented twin brother. For years I kept him locked in a basement and fed him only raw meat and rotten apples. SHAX is a hater. The only things he actually enjoys are gangsta rap, Norwegian black metal and painting strange faces on the walls of abandoned houses. I figured it was time I let him out of the dark basement into this beautiful world full of colors. He moved into a house and invited me and our friend and photographer Psychodaddy into his new home. As expected he decorated the walls with his ugly demonic wall - paintings.  

Illustrations for PUNK ROCK HOLIDAY 2011

These are the illustrations I did for the Punk Rock Holiday which will take place from 12th to 15th of august 2011 in Tolmin, Slovenia. My friend Dado and I did the poster and the logo for the festival as well.
We wanted to use my drawings to make the poster different from all these boring summer festivals posters.
This is a kick-ass line-up as you can see and I'm really proud that my drawings are on that poster together with the names of some of the biggest bands from the punk-rock scene, such as Bad Religion and NOFX!!!

Finaly I drew some new COMIX

I used to draw a lot of comics. Drawing short, silly comics was the best way to get through all those boring classes and lectures in high school and later at the university. Yesterday I found myself in a similar situation at work so I started drawing a comic again. Then I liked it and drew another one. The best way to draw comics for me is just to start with whatever and then see what happens.

New prints from the series Stuff and nonsense

Lately I was playing again in photoshop. The result is here. 6 new collages from the series Stuff and nonsense. These works are, similar to those I did before, inspired mainly by the fifties pop culture. In this series I took the faces of the famous actresses of the decade and and combined them with different elements like, old comics, my own drawings (the brain -heart) and illustrations from vintage magazines... I mixed a dose of subtle humor in each of the works wich gives them a new sense and dimension, and connects the combined parts into one.

Illustrations for the new Overflow music video

These are a few illustrations I did for the new Overflow video Surprise directed by Andrej Korovljev. It´s the first single from their upcoming album Hit me.  I know the guys from the band for years now and I´m also a big fan of their music so it was my pleasure to participate in creating of this video. Check it out, the song is great and it will get stuck in your head!
